    me and my boy are planing on droping the trany on a manual trany on a 90 accord is there any tips u guys might have on how to make this job easyer

    wow you arent far away, i goto sjsu.

    anyways, tell me how it comes out, im planning on changing my clutch and swapping out my tranny as well.

      whaaaat??? Drop the whole motor? How could that possibly be easier. I could have a manual trans dropped out by itself in 20 minutes.

          yeah i hate the agrevation on putting the tranny back in. specially if u do it in the drive way with a hidraulic jack... lol

            wed3k where are u from i would we should meet up and chek out our cars
            anywys all bolts are lose and iam droping it with the engine in it all bolts are of everything is off and the dam trany wont seperate from the engine

                trany out new trany in what kind of manual trany fluid do u guys recomend and would it be safe to turn ovr the engine whe i just added the oil or should i disable the ignition to get the oil to the gears

                    5 speed transmisson oil:

                    reccomended type- SAE10W30 or10w40 weight, grade SE of SF
                    capacity(including differential): 1.9l (2.0 us qts.)

                    right on the back of your owners manual
                    pay no attention to the grade....those grades have been superceded
