    MTF Fluid Capacity

I am going to do a transmission fluid change on a T2W4. Need to know how much is the exact amount of fluid needed. I just don't want to over/under fill the trans. Thank you and Happy Holidays to All!!!

You cant over fill it. Just fill it up until it pours out of the fill hole. (about 2 qts)
FS: BNIB MFactory FD $650, PM me.

Two quarts is what the service manuals say. Make sure you get the Honda MTF, it was like 6 bucks a quart at my local Honda dealer when I got it this summer.

If you drain it completely use 2.5 Quarts. If you have any grinds or lil notchy shifts, Try the GM Sycromesh FRICTION MODIFIED version. The honda MTF is too thin actually. I've tried it on my 6 speed tranny and it shifts very harsh. Never had a problem with the syncromesh from GM

Do GM still sell the Synchromesh Friction Modified version? I read from another forum that GM discontinued the FM version and they only have the regular Synchromesh fluid with no FM. Do you know the GM part no. for the Synchromesh Friction Modified version? I also want to try it. Thanks

I do believe they discontinued it in the dealerships but I was able to get it online. I ordered a few bottles and shipping wasnt too bad from this place.

                    And the PN is 12377916

Thats where I ordered and everything went smoothly.

When was the last time you order it. Did they tell you if it is just left over stock?

I ordered earlier this year. Like around April. I just ordered that part number and I got the Friction modified version. The PN for the regular one is different.

I was able to buy it at a local GM dealer. Cost me like 11.75 a quart
