What is different with the a6 than the a1? Both seem to be the same engine but 15 hp difference? It puzzles me

The A6 has a split port exhaust manifold, and a Dual runner intake manifold with a vacuum operated butterfly valve that opens up at higher RPM. So theres your 15 ponies.

so its all in the head?-think it would be worth it 4 me 2 swap a f22a6 head on my a1? did the a6 only come on the wagons and se versions?............off topic but do u know where i can find pics and specs on that turbo kit for f22's on the site-thanks

f22a6 came in the ex and se's, talk to accordr33 for the turbo thing, 1200 is kinda steep for that because u can buy a whole f22a6 for half of that.

No, its all in the manifolds and camshaft, you don't need the entire head. But if you plan on swaping in A6 parts you'll need an ECM, wire harness, fuel pressure regulator, and IMTV control solenoid as well.

f22a6 came in the ex and se's, talk to accordr33 for the turbo thing, 1200 is kinda steep for that because u can buy a whole f22a6 for half of that.

ooops gotta correct myself, i thought u meant 1200 for all the parts u would need to convert to f22a6. now i realized that its 1200 for the turbo kit, its a good deal, i would jump on it.
