P/S Axle not locking in all the way

I recently got some Driveshaft shop axles...now I go to put in the P/S one and its not locking into the transmission. I tried firmly pushing it in and its still loose and not locking for some reason. These are for the 90-93 accords.

Should I enlarge the C-Clip? or what else could I do to ensure it locks in?

yeah i tried that and its still just "snug" but if I pull with some mild-moderate force the end pops out

I measured the stock Honda one and this one and the end that goes into the trans on the honda one is 58mm and the DSS one is 56mm (before it hits the enlarged race of the axle)

Does this type of axle need to clip in? or can it just be pushed in? Anyone?

damnit...now I tried the D/S one and it won't go in the hub! WTF! I bought these Driveshaft shop axles thinking they'd be awesome and now nothing's working tonight.

Do I need to heat up the end and then shove it in? I don't get this shit the Stock ones slide in/out of the hubs like butter.

ok this officially sucks...I just spent two more hours trying to fit the D/S axle into the car with no luck. Now this one goes into the intermediate shaft fine and clicks in but when it comes to going into the hub, it doesn't seem to fit...it goes in like half way and then gets stuck.

So something isn't right about these axles...hopefully I can get my money back from the guy I bought them from. Otherwise I'm pretty much SOL.

Sounds like the C clp is fucked. You shouldnt need to POUND them in, but if you can just pull them out AT ALL on the PS they WILL pop out. TRUST me

You have to not use cheap axles just get remanufactured axles. They should have the ring clip on there. Dont heat them up that will only make things worse. I would take the same axles back with the original axle and have them match them up with that. Replace the c-ring its probably out of round and so worn out that it's not holding in place.

ok well I called the Driveshaft shop and they said to measure the compressed length of both of them and send pictures and they'll go from there.

Yeah I ended up having to reassemble everything back to stock...what a waste of 5 hrs last night. Oh well, one way or another I'll figure this out. Kinda sucks though b/c my D/S axle has leaked out all the grease already...so I better do this quickly before it starts clicking
