Will the A6 head work on the A1 block?

I know, this is probably one of the most asked questions, but I did a search and didn't find anything that would appear to answer the question. If I didn't dig deep enough, please forgive me. So, will it, or won't it? And If so, would this be real damn close to having an entire A6 as far as HP and torque go? Thankx in advance for your replys, as I'm sure this will draw attention, be it positive or negitive.

the answer is yes. the only difference i think between the A6 and the A1 hp an tq wise is the intake manifold and the exhaust system i think. correct me if im wrong anyone.

yes, you're correct Dfresh. Intake mani, exhaust system, ecu, cam, and fpr (supposively) are all that seperate the engine. There will be no gain from using an a6 head.

So, in theroy, I could just buy a cam and intake mani. from an A6, and computer and in essance my LX would become an EX, since I just got the DC Sports header for an EX, right?

the cam IS different from the A6 to the A1.... A6 is a slight upgrade.
