window and half of my cluster stopped working

Drove to work this morning and everything was fine, went to lunch and still good but when i stopped to eat on my way back to work my windows didnt work, dont hear the motors and then i noticed that the rpm's werent working nor was the speedometer, checked all the fuses and everything is good there, dont know how to check relays but dont think thats the case, after doing little search i thought to check the code and to my bad luck, all BUT the back light, battery and fuel arent working so i cant pull the code.....any ideas on where to look? I just did a 5speed conversion and wire main harness tuck but i havent checked the harness cus of work and if it was the harness wouldnt i have trouble starting the car? Any help greatly appreciated

I got a 93lx for free cus the same issue took me 10 min to go through the fusebox and fix the problem hahahaha, but your wire tuck may have somethin to do with it so id triple check the fuses then inspect the wires

Replace the ELD. Electrical Load Detector. What it basically does is regulates the amount of voltage from the charging system on the car. If that fails then you'll have that issue your describing.

Its located on the engine bay fuse box..and has a 3 wire connector that plugs into it.

Find a spare box though..taking that ELD is a pain in the ass because you have to undo the fuses and seperate the upper and lower half of the fuse box.

sunroof works, climate controls work, radio work, the dash backlight works even the mirror adjuster works witch is in the same panel as the window controls, i check the passenger side window switch and it doesnt work, and my horns dont work either...its wierd but ill take a look at the harness and fuses again

hmm, ill take a look at it, think a buddy of mine has a spare fuse box and ill check that....what if my relays burnt out? most of whats not working operates with relays

Mine doesn't chime when it's running. I think you have issues with your tuck. Did you solder and heat shrink everything, or twist and tape?

butt conectors, tape, and wire covers and i did one wire at a time to ensure that everything gets wired right, it was fine for the first week i got the car 100% running.

Been humid or wet in your area lately? It sounds like you might have some corrosion issues in your connections. You'd be surprised at how easily moisture can invade splices. I could be wrong, maybe you just have a loose plug or a pulled out wire, or it could be something previously suggested.

it was a little humid the day it started then the next few day till last night its been raining, i am gonna take a look at the wiper housing, think maybe the wiper cut something and only think that because one of the washers for the wiper arms broke and i couldnt find the plastic washer nipple thingy so i diy and tied it up, it broke off and i think since then the electric problem started but the wiper motor itself still works, just cant get them to move because one of the arms isnt attatched due to nipples that hold the arms together.....sorry if im making no sense, had long night last night drinking and im getting ready to work wit a hangover

just looked up the part im talking about, wiper arm linkage bushing

get some free time. and start breaking sh@t down. Most
likely its your harness. Check right at the plugs too. Make sure
none of the wires are loose. Lightly pull at them, in and out. And
feel for loose wires not making a good contact.

Also like others have been saying. Check your fuses. Make sure
you have the currents amperage in each fuse portion.

just found the culprit, One of the harness plugs wasnt fully clipped on and a 10amp fuse....Would of found out what it was sooner if it wasnt for this ugly weather weve had these past few days and the fact that i get out of work so late doesnt help
