EGR blocked off, can EGR ports still be a problem?

    i have egr and fitv blocked off without problems. what brand o2 sensor did you get? if it's anything other than denso or ngk/ntk that could be the reason for low mpg

      Actually it was getting good mileage at first, the plugs got fouled with a few times and probably just need to be replaced. Code 43 disappeared when I reset the ECU

        sorry to hear this man lol
        i blocked EGR and left it off and unplugged car is fine to me
        also removed all evap and emissions conrol stuff along with it
        i was thinking aboutdoing the iacv block too but seein how your having trouble im not too sure if i wanna do it now
        what about FITV block off ?? anybody know anything about it

          The FITV has no connection with the ECU, its only modifier is coolant temp so no CEL there. I had my FITV blocked off, and the only real difference was no high idle while the car is warming up. Not the greatest idea in a cold climate.

          The IACV can be blocked off, but the valve itself must be left plugged in or the engine will be in limp mode with code 14.

            Yah, I didn't think the code 14 would actually give you limp mode. That's the crappy thing about fuel injection.
