    head gasket,,,,,,maybe?

ok i fixed allt he hozes and new thermostat etc. i still lose about 1/4 of the radiator coolant.
i work as a pizza deliver. after working for 5 hours 1/3 of the radiator coolant is gone.
i don't see any leaks. and i don't see any smoke coming from the engine bay.
i smell the sweet smell of the coolant burning sometimes
i hear like water running on my dashboard,,,,, heater works and my carpet don't get wet... as they should when u have a cloged heater core.
once when the throtle body got stuck and my car was at 5000 rpm i went and turned off the car. but i could hear that the water was boiling on my radiator reall bad. u could hear that shit boiling from far.
i checked the oil stick in the morning and there is no coolant in it. i checked when the car was hot and still no coolant in it.
there is no oil in the coolant too.
when i start the car it kind of works with 3 pistons. but if i review up to 3000rpm it will work fine. it does that everytime i start it.
oh and no smoke. but when its cold it sokes like other cars.
and the smoke don't have the sweet smell of the coolant burning.

so what are some of the symptoms of the head gasket beeing bad????????
or does anyone know how to check if i have a leak on the head gasket????
oh by the way there is no water coming between the block and the head.
let me know plz. this shit is driving me crazy. i am buying coolant every fucking week.
are we there yet are we there yet are we there yet

have a mechanic shop preform a leak down check, that should tell you if its the head gasket ...

In Need of an engine, just a basic f22a...pm me if you have one willing to part with.

Alright...Check the antifreeze in the radiator....is it green or like a brownish looking color? If is has a dull appearance to it than your headgasket is leaking. However you shouldn't bee loosing 1/4 of your fluid. It most likely is your water pump. When it goes bad, it leaks. Here is a way to figure out if it is your waterpump. Put a piece of cardboard under the car on the driver's side directly under the engine when you park it at night. Check it in the morning and look for a wet spot. If there is a puddle or a spot on there, it is your water pump .

but he said he isnt leaking any coolant.....but a bad water pump would make sense. however, like you said they leak when they go bad....geez man im thinking and thinking, i cant figure this out.

If he parks in gravel it a leak is hard to see..but I did just see where he said he is only running on 3 cylinders....first..how do you know that and second..if that is the case, the plug for the non-firring cylinder has probally been fouled due to water in the combustion chamber which indicates a bad head gasket...you may want to fix it quick..sounds like a disaster waiting to happen

or he could have oil in one of the spark plug tubes, that would also cause a fouled spark plug. and as most of us know the 2nd cylinder spark plug tube is notorious for leaking oil..........but still as for leaking coolant what else could it possible by besides a head gasket? im thinking head gasket like FushigiRES. But damn lets hope its not.

Either do a compression test or take the car somewhere to get a compression test done. If it idles rough but smooths out when the RPMs are high, then most likely you are running on less than all 4 cylinders. My roommate recently blew the engine on his 90 Tercel from overheating and losing compression. Repairs were going to exceed the value of the car, so we donated the car to a charity for a tax writeoff.

If you smell antifreeze, then obviously its coming out somewhere. Look for pinhole leaks or hose clamps not tightened down.

You said you hear the coolant 'boiling'- are you using straight antifreeze, straight water, or mixing it as you should?

i mix about 70% coolat and 30% water.
my car kind of starts with 3 cilinders. but if i review up to 3000rpm he car will work fine after that
my car idles like a bitch because of a bad throttle body.
right now i am on a procces to do a compresion test and do ANOTHER preasure test of the system.
on the first preasure test i put it at 19 psi and it falls at 16 psi and stays there. i had this leak from the thermostat housing but i already fix it.

i am out of words. i don't know what to do next. this shit is driving me crazy.
right now i wish its a head gasket so i can fix that motherfucker and be done with it.

well do some tests... don't go off of what everyone is saying.. go outside and test things for yourself from the ideas everyone has! do a compression check, check plugs and see how they look, take off valve cover and look to see if you have a milky substance under your valve cover.

so basically you said you have no leaks, doesn't smell sweet from the exhaust, doesn't smell like coolant under the hood, no smoking under the hood... so where is it all going then??? you have to be missing something....

check your radiator cap, they go bad every so often... the lbs on the cap is there for a reason.. i believe its 16lbs.. if it can't hold 16lbs forever then you have a leaking radiator cap and theres where all your coolant is going.. it goes out in VAPORS slowly but like you said your a delievery guy, do you stop ever 10mins to see if you see smoke coming out??? the more load you give the car the faster the coolant flows.. if yoru stopped you won't notice it as much.

                    plugs i got new one.s
when i open the valve cover i saw that the whole thing was fill with a "mud" look a like. there was so much there that it blocked the oil lines. i had to run some kerosene to uncloged them.

my car starts with 3 pistons. if i review it to 3000 rpm then it will work ok. i think there is a leak on the compustion chamber and it burns it all only when i start the car. today when i start it and review it there would be smoke coming out. but when i did it 4 hours later (the same thing but no so much smoke. i don't know what to make of it
