you would know if your check engine light was on, because it would be on. do you notice the oil level drop between oil changes?

well there is spot that says maintnece required and that is on. and yea there is a drop.

hard to tell, compression or leakdown test will tell you more

do the compression test, see what results that yields, get back to us.

if, in fact you do find you may have a mechanical issue, if you want to-do a leakdown.

do you have a misfire at all? maybe i missed that, but will just clarify again.

and finally; do you have cold-start burning? that can give a clue or two from the getgo.
