    fuel purge system question

Long story short. My charcoal canister got broke, was pissing nasty fumes, deleted it, ran the vapor hose straight to the tb, got shitty gas mileage, and I finally disconnected it. Now I have nothing hooked to the tb at all and it runs just fine. Since SC doesnt have emissions I dont have to worry about that. But will it hurt anything else to delete that hose completely? I left the vapor hose hanging for now but I wasnt sure if that was going to hurt anything. Its not even idling funny. My car just has a VERY faint gas smell when its parked, kinda like the gas smell when you get around a bike or old classic car. You dont smell it when driving though. Anybody have any suggestions?

the charcoal can. is used to hold fuel vapors from the fuel tank until the EVAP purge valve opens & pulls them into the engine.if no emissions , no problems.your good if you can handle the smell.

A man that keeps looking back can't see whats in front of him.

No need to cover it with a vacuum cap to kill the smell?

You want the fuel tank to breathe, just have it do so after the fuel charcoal canister. Whether you decide to retain the stock purge system or just route it to atmosphere is your choice. Personally, I would route hose facing rear of vehicle and away from engine bay area.
