    Car wont pass 2k RPM...HELP!!

Info to know before you read on: i am currently running a chipped p28 with a h22 base map nothin special

i have a f20b with h22 injectors with an external coil....

    New Dizzy, Cap, Rotor....

Problem: Car wont pass 2k RPM in neutral or while driving as if it was stuck in launch control

so the other day i was driving and my car started to missfire randomly... i picked my girl up and went home for the night determined to find out the prob in the AM...

next day i start to drive it again...it missfires and does not pass 2k rpm while driving or just in neutral....

so i check the norm that can cause this, starting by checking my TPS plug that was messed up and sometimes falls off causing the same prob... but no go it was on... so i check all my wires on the ECU and everything was fine..

so i reset my ECU and still the prob persist... i get home a check my CEL to find out i had a code 4 that night... ok so New Dizzy right?

next day i purchase one.. put it in started it up and it was fine..revved up fine

i go across the street and when i get to the mall it started again... i check the CEL's but there isnt a code 4 anymore....

later in the day i tried a new TPS because i was sure that was it (also had a code 7)... i put a blox TPS and tried setting it to the best of my knowledge... still the problem persist....

Can a TPS be set so off that would send the car into limp mode?

i tried two ecu's including a p28 chipped (gsr map) still and a h23 as well

any help would greatly be appreciated, im very close to giving up.... i am heading out to reset my TPS... i will give you guys a list of codes i have but for now these are some of them

    Codes:
21...my speed sensor is bad so technically no Vtec
19 A/T lock-up control solenoid (was an AUTO p28 ECU)
17 Vehicle speed sensor ( mine is bad i know that)
14 Idle air control valve or bad ECM ( bad IACV)
9 No.1 cylinder position sensor (have to check if its still there) that would mean another dizzy is needed i just replaced it
7 Throttle position sensor (New Blox ) hopefully i can set it right

So the TPS code is still on even after you replaced it? Try resetting your ecu again once the TPS is on.

For shits and giggles you should warm up the car and unplug the iacv, to see if the idle drops like it should. I had a similar issue where i couldnt get more than 2k maybe 2500 rpm, i tried to set my base idle and nothing happened when i unplugged the iacv, long story short my ecu was about toast.

Sometimes trouble shooting is a kick in the face..

            Happens to me.

Do you have an accord ecu to try?

I'm asking because I know I had a few cels go off on me and I had bought a new dizzy, goes to show it was just my p13 before. Then put a pt3 and it drove fine no cels. That's when I put my other p28 in.

You should disconnect the battery, remove whatever ecu is there. Plug in a tps sensor that's not on the tb you have on the f20b. Maybe a f22 tb with tps. Its just to read the sensor..

Also have you ever cleaned your iacv? If not try that and plug that it. Then put in whatever dizzy and ecu.

Maybe just sand off some of the ground points on the block and frame. Maybe its not getting a contact somewhere.

i sanded down the grounds... no change then put my hand on the TB.. it was sucking air above the TB where a spout comes out... i never had a prob with it not being plugged but i plugged it anyways... turned off the car checked all my wires... turned it on a its fixed

Thanks Maury for you help it might have been the fix... and thanks everyone else for helpin out im gonna go crack some well deserved vtec now

If you need one, I can sell you my IACV from my F22 manifold. Got an H23 manifold and don't use it anymore.
