    Front upper control arm bushings

Good day. I'm having a lot of trouble getting these bushings out of the control arm. The ball joint press method with different sized sockets is what I've been using and they just will not budge. I even tried putting one of them in the freezer hoping that would help...nothing.

Any ideas? I'm about to say screw it and just sell off my bushing kit.

    Thanks,
    Cris P.

Thanks, but I already did the upper ball joints (went fairly smoothly too), it's the two bushings I can't seem to get out of their housing.

bring it to a machine shop where they have an actual press. i used sockets too but they have to almost be exact. you can always use the hack saw method.

Damn. I was hoping to avoid doing that. I cranked on them real good, but not luck. I tried to use the best sized socket, but I think you're right in that they have to be EXACT.

            Thanks!

Like wed3k said, it's all about hand tools minus the drill, but drill many holes in the rubber, vise grips to twist out the inner sleeve, then mini-hack blade holder to cut out the outer sleeve, sometimes 2 cuts if needed and fold in.
