If its the original check with a dealer, as there was a recall for this many moons ago. I had mine replaced for free in 2008 on my wagon.

Thanks to all the people that have helped. Distributor replacement looks to be simple enough so I will replace that and see how things go.

Good luck to you. I'm done helping.

If you have no spark, and you already replaced the coil, and its a no go, the only other thing I could think of that would cause your problem would be the igniter, when i've had a coil go, it just died and never restarted. When i've had an igniter go out (albiet on my rx7). It died, but cranked back up, then died again shortly down the street, and wouldn't restart. I also noticed a the bouncing/dancing tach (independant of actual engine rpm)
I'd say your igniter is probably toast.
Did you ever see a bouncing tach while driving?
And deev, if he has the money to spare, theres no problem with "replacing parts", at least the stuff he's replaced is stuff that would have probably needed to be replaced here shortly (if it was never replaced before). Its also things that can be ruled out with any future problems.
An ounce of prevention is better then a pound of cure. Except if the pound of cure now results in future prevention.Last edited by cloudasc; 07-11-2010, 03:18 PM.

Much thanks to the people that helped get the car back on the road.
It WAS the distributor. The car starts up on a dime and still runs good.
**Side Note**
puzzlevil suggested I call the dealer about the recall that they had on the distributor for the Accord. The dealer told me that there is no time limit on recalls (they would have been more than happy to put a new one on the car), but when they typed in the VIN mine was not included in the recall. It was worth a try though.
Thanks again.
