    94 accord code 9

    the car is a 94 cd5 ex

the owner told me, since he bought it, its been doing the same problem

pulled the code and its a 9

    cyp sensor,

    steps i did :

removed the dis plug and check resistance on cyp, tdc, ckp sensor

    cyp-.971oh
    tcd-.950 oh
    ckp-.960 oh

i look at the haynes manual and these readings are normal, either way i replace the DIS and nothing

the car had a chopped engine harness, and since the fans were'nt working i replaced the harness, got pretty much everything working, still code 9 car runs the same

i did a continuity test from the ecu plug to the engine harness plug
and im getting continuity on tdc, cyp ckp

checkd spark plug sequence, good, physical timing is also good

    compression test read 180,170,168,170

here is were i got something different, i changed the ecu from a p0a to a pt6, the car still runs the same but no CEL codes

im kind of stuck right know, anyone ever had this problem?

replaced the distributor with something legit or another used/junkyard unit. they may be both bad, could be a bad connection like the tip of the prong may be pushed into the connector, could be a bad ecu.

hows mechanical timing on the car? was a timing belt recently done?
