    wont rev past 4000rpm

I Made a thread a while back about how my car wont rev past 4000.

Now i have swapped in a jdm f22b with a 14b setup and still i have the same problem. I have changed the spark plugs, ecu, fuel pump, injectors, main relay, distributor cap and rotor, oem map sensor, and o2 sensor I have no idea what could cause this.
I do have a cel that i cant seem to make flash when my p06 is installed but when my original ecu is installed it flashes the code for o2 sensor heater. Its becoming really frustrating. any help would be great. Thanks

If you jump the connector and get a solid cel, that means that the ECU is bad. I had that problem with a P13 that I got. I replaced it and haven't had any issues since.

I know its weird because This ecu works perfect in other cars and is a known working ecu. I have tried two different po6's. did you have the same rev problem with your bad ecu 4GaccordH22

Plugged cat? (remove the 02 sensor and rev it to test)

Slow to rev to 4k or gets there and sputters?

        Hard start?

Have someone spray something like starter fluid into your throttle body while trying to rev and see if it will rev higher. Atleast then you will know if it's fuel related.

its starts and runs normal and if i slow rev it will go just past 4 and then like sputters. kinda like hitting rev limiter. do you mean unplug the o2 sensor or unscrew th o2 completely.

Thinking about it, it cant be the cat because I had the same problem while the exhaust was removed (open turbo)

Check for loose wires. When I put the motor in my civic it was throwing a code for the dizzy and wouldnt go past 3500. I put a known good dizzy in it and it was throwing the same code so then I went after some wires and sure enough I had a loose one on the passenger side and it was all fixed after that.

You would have to unscrew the 02 sensor but you already know the cat isn't the problem.

Add fuel (starter fluid) while reving and see if it improves.

Oh I just re-read your post, try a new destributer. I mis-read it before but now realize your wrote cap and rotor.

i have been searching for loose wires and have come up with nothing yet. I have tried 2 dizzys (one on the old f22a and one on the new f22b) and same problem. ill try adding fluid while reving and see what happens, could this be casued by the egr?

I know these aren't tech terms but a friend of mine had the same problem and if you open up your distributor there is the little box shaped deal that has all the wires connected to. Swap that out and see if it works, that's all we did after a lot of trouble shooting and it high reved and everything. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Fixed the problem, Got a dyno tune. The basemap was burnt onto the wrong section of the chip throwing the ecu into limp mode. now making 183whp and 190ft.lb of torque, with a boost leak.
