Tough to shift out of park

    Hey everyone,

Recently, I've been having some trouble shifting out of park. She's a 92 LX Automatic. I depress the break, I hear the solenoid click, press in the shifter release and then try to pull back into reverse. Problem is that it has become very difficult to move the shifter back. I have to really pull on it - much more than I should.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

This is a shifter cable problem, common on auto's, including mine. Mine is worse when it's cold, and goes away after the car has warmed up (like after 15-20 mins driving). On cold mornings its very difficult. I haven't fixed it yet.
Follow this link for the procedure for adjusting the shift cable.

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

don't go directly there. clean the shift area first. then check if that hole is aligned.
then go under the car. check where the cable goes into the tranny. adjust there if u can. make sure its tight.
