    Rust

I have noticed some rust above the wheel wells. What should I do to get rid of it and prevent more from comming up?

look how bad it is...has it spread to the metal inside the car..try and fish around...someone else has done rust removal here...maybe u can search for it..if u cant find it i will
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

Once it gets to a certain point, your only option is to cut it out and reshape that part of the wheel well with fiberglass, carbonfiber, or plain old bondo if the spot is small enough. The rust is always worse than what it first apears to be. I had to cut out a 5" x 4" section of metal to get rid of all the rust and then used fiberglass to reshape the panel. It takes a few layers and a lot of sanding, but it's not all that difficult to do. Plan to have the car repainted when you finnish doing it. Good luck and remember, rust never sleeps. Once it starts, it only gets worse. In the meantime to slow it down a little, get a bottle of some stuff called Naval Jelly. It actually neutralizes the rust to help stop it from spreading further. You'll see the rust change from the copper/brown color to an almost grey/silver color cause you're starting to see the bare metal again. After a few coats of the naval jelly, clean and dry it well and then prime and seal the bare metal to prevent it from starting again. It looks like ass, but it will keep it from getting any worse than it already is. The only real way to get rid of it for good is to cut out the rusted parts, and do some body work to make it look like you never had any rust to begin with. Hope that helps.
