When changing a thermostat or when engines have really low coolent. Adding coolent is more important. Meaning if theres trapped air pockets in system it could rec havoc. I good measure is to cram a asprin into thermostat to "bleed air" when filling radiator. Plus add coolent to a disconnected top radiator hose at radiator connection then quickly attach it to radiator. This will allow air to leave system.

    GOD BLESS
