    starter rebuild kit

Has anyone used these to rebuild your starter, is this a good or temp fix?
ive seen two types of kit, a gear reduction repair and a solinoid kit....will i need both or just the solinoid? They are pretty cheap and i dont have cash to fork for a new one. lmk

yea, it only does it on the first start up of the day, when i turn the key it would do about half a crank and get stuck or something, then i would turn the key again and it starts right up...that is the starter right? the cranks sound strong so battery seems fine

sounds maybe like a bad connection issue.
if the cranks sound strong then there isnt much of a reason to fault the starter or battery.

clean all connections on the battery and starter. check grounds.

        Bought from: Bisimoto, FuncOvrForm, HondaGuy1212, wed3k, Konigstiger, 1st2run, BillKisme, k-mart, benjerman112

WHOA! SOB i was looking at the starter and i looked down by the tranny and noticed that the ground wire where its bolted at the bottom it only has about 4 or 5 strings of wire connected to the chassis and the rest are dirty just hanging loose... feel embarresed, if it wasnt that i have such an over sized battery i would of noticed earlier....dont know if that will fix it, ill let ya know
