    Fuel Return Line

A month ago I ran over a medium size rock in the middle of the highway which I couldn't dodge because of the car on the other side of the road. Well anyway it broke my front rim, went under the car and cracked the "Fuel Return Line", thats the one that runs back from the Fuel Regulater to the tank to return unburned gas someone feel free to correct me if im wrong. Well anyway to get my cb home I put a rubber fuel hose between the metal hoses and slid it on each end and clamped it togather. So basically I Patched it up with a rubber hose and got it home but now since then Im not sure but I think I ust to hear a Pssh!! sound when i open my gas cap but now i dont, and the longer I let my cb sit after driving it the harder it is to crank and it sort of stutters for a moment after I get it started. Could it be that even tho I patched up my fuel return line with the rubber hose I could still have fuel pressure escaping from sitting over time causing it be hard to crank?

i also had a similar situation and did exactly what you did. I do notice my car takes a little longer to start up. I bought a new fuel return line form honda for $70 but after trying to pry off the undercarriage clips I sort of gave up and just patched it.

well yea im pretty sure thats my culprit, Im going to take a whole day sit back and take my time replacing it with one from a car from a junkyard. Take one step at a time and make sure everything is right. A used one should do just fine a quick inspection to make sure it isnt damaged

if it isnot leaking then i dont understand why it would lead to extended crank. if it was pinched or restricted, you would get faster psi because the return is pinched.

honestly check fuel pressure and check from a cranking cold start

Should be 38-41 PSI with vaccum hose REMOVED from fuel pressure regulator at idle.

I want to do this, where do I get a fuel pressure checking device?, Because I replaced the line and still have the same problem
