Problem shifting from Park to Drive--Transmission Issue

So I will admit, that I screwed up this weekend. My Susie (cb7) overheated and we threw her into Neutral and then started to push her, but in doing so, I threw her into Reverse, by accident, didnt hear any noises or breaks. Still drives and shifts OK.

However, here's my problem: Starting the car and shifting into any gear from PARK in my automatic transmission takes an act of congress.

So did I screw up the linkage and if I did, what would it take to replace? Am I damaging it the more I use it? Thanks in advance.

just take the cover plate off on the bottom and see if the cable look alright. There should be a 10mm bolt holding it onto the trans from underneath. If it is bad, PM me I've got one from when I did my Auto to 5spd swap.

The one on my auto is tough as balls sometimes too, I almost want to disable the keylock and leave it in neutral.
Ill pull hard to get it out of park and slam it in D3 on accident lol
Its not the cable, the shifter moves fine.
Im thinkin its out of adjustment somehow, the reverse lights dont quite come on at the same time its in reverse. I have to push the shifter slightly down...its wierd.
