I'm not 100% sure. Mine was off of my EX before I even got the car. I didn't get a replacement from the JY until 2 years of owning it. lol

There should be a breather cap on there. They tend to blow off if they get clogged up with dust and oil..... No big deal as long as your not getting a lot of water up under your hood. Next time you drive by a junk yard stop in and see if you can find one and clean it up. Never hurts to have that hole covered up. One too many drops of water in a gear case with a petroleum lubricant is never a good thing.

A cap is usually on and its on for a purpose of preventing dirt falling in.

Not having a cap is no biggie but i would put a clean cotton cloth over it and rubber band it around to hold it on.

That way it can still breathe but theres no danger of foreign matter from falling in. Until you can buy or afford to buy the oem cap to keep it original and looking legit!
