    autometer tach (sport comp)

    does anyone knoe how to install this bad boy? or color code the wires? i bought it off a friend of a friend so hes doesnt have the intructions. Help me out if you can....or if you have installed one b4. Thanks for reading

    from what i remember:

    RED - power
    WHITE - ignition
    GREEN - rpm signal(either from the ecu or distributor)
    BLACK - ground

    *and just make sure the brown and orange wires located away from the main wires are cut.

      thanks...i happened to find the info after i wrote this. BUT...im concerned on where to put the green and white wire.....thanks for the help

        ok, you can hook up the white wire onto any 12v ignition source.

        i don't remember which wire on the dizzy to hook up to, but on the ecu, you can splice the green wire onto the "A" plug(largest plug on the ecu), pin A21. *here's a pic from the swap "FAQs" thread, courtesy of BustedLx:

            for the green wire, if you don't want to tap the wires on the ecu, you can also tap the YELLOW/GREEN wire coming out of the distributor cap. there is only one set of wires coming out of the cap and one of the wires should be YELLOW/GREEN. that's the rpm signal wire similar to pin A21.
