Put Car Into 2nd Gear, Let Out Clutch And It Locked Up And Died!!! Help Please

hey yall i was drivin around in the ol cb today and i was taking a turn i dropped from 3rd to 2nd and went to let out the clutch BAM SCREEEEEECH. car died, trans locked up. I pushed it to my moms, the car starts and goes into neutral i didnt try using any gears after....

i let out the clutch and it immediately snapped locked up and screeched to a stop....

I vote your clutch finally took a shit. If it goes into neutral I would check to make sure it goes into all gear when the car is off. If the car start see if it does and then try to shift it into gears.

If you hear a squeeling noise its probably a throw out bearing if its hard to disenguage the clutch. But since you said squeeling noise it could be that. But im thinking that pressureplate of flywheel came loose and locked everything . Id pull it before i start it up just to inspect everything.
