    I Got A Major Issue

    i was heading up to moroso yesterday for the NSCRA event and 35 to 45 min. into the drive i either spun a bearing or broke a rod there was no oil in the motor and yes i checked the motor before leaing and it was fine my buddies and i couldn't find any leaks and there is no hole punched anywhere in the block and no i didn't over rev... i jus need some suggestions of what could've cause this jus so i can pin point what im trying to look for thanx...

    Did the car smoke? Did it start losing power and sounding louder than normal? Some more facts about it's demise would help us help you. I've gotta say you'll probably find it when you tear down the motor.

      One of those things that can't really be pre-determined nor diagnosed until you have everything apart, unfortunately.

        it didn't smoke and my bois that were surrounding the car when it happened didn't hear any loud noise like if something popped that jus heard a grinding noise the car still starts fine with out any problems and all four cylinders are firing... you think that bearing could have jus came loose or gone bad... im gonna try and drop the oil pan sometime this week... thanx

          Check your oil drain plug. Maybe it's leaking or it came off.

            you say the car has no oil... and you checked it before you left and now you have no oil, with no leaks.... something dont sound right....Dose the car start? drive? no power? have you put oil back in it yet?

              If you had oil when you left, and now have no oil, theres definatly a leak.

              Check the balance shaft seal hasn't popped out.

                the car has power, it starts up rite away, theres just a disgustingly loud rod knock at idle when the car is on i havn't driven the car since it happened but i did drain the oil thursday night and didn't see any metal shavings i even held a shop rag underneath while the oil was drainning and nothing, when i was able to take a good look of the undercarriage of the car yesterday i noticed there was oil on the bottom of the tranny, near the oil filter, and on some other place on the block like if itz been dripping from the top... i dunno this problem is a damnn brain buster... im not asking anyone to know exactly wuts wrong with the motor from wut im sayin jus some suggestions to know wut i might be getting myself into thanx

                  how's the seal around ur oil filter? It maybe ur oil filter wasn't tightened enough.
