just going through my mind thinking of some things I could clean/fix/tune up that would maybe restore my engines performance. any suggestions... also, i was looking at some toyotas and they have a MAF (mass air flow sensor) in the intake pipe, now was just wondering how our honda determine the amount of air being sucked in, it cant just be the tps sensor?

well i'd say the biggest problem is that your missing your valve cover.....heheheh
check all your wires connections on the fire wall. I think there are only 2. Then check all the ones on your intake manifold. With the car running check all your vacuum lines by spraying carb cleaner on all the lines. If the car runs different when you spray the carb cleaner replace that vacuum hose.... or better yet run up to a car place and get you about 10ft of 5/16 hose (i think that is the size, but i could be wrong) and rplace all the hose in your car.. then you have no worries what so ever. Check your spark plugs. Check your PCV valve. Sounds too me that one of your sensors might not be working right. Like the MAP sensor. I think the book says how to check it but i dont have that right in front of me....and we DONT have a MAF sensor....well atleast I dont, and i haven't looked one up on a honda yet...not to say honda's never had them..WTB:

and on the picture it's touched a little bit by the top left red circle. It's the black plastic box. and by the looks of it his VIN number is printed directly above it.WTB:
