    Axle clicking comes and goes?

I heard my axle clicking the other day when making a U turn in a parking lot...but ever since then, it hasn't done it. I'm just wondering...you guys think its about to fail? FYI, I put this in NEW when I did my 5spd swap back in Aug 09' so its roughly got 6-7k miles on it. Its an EMPI axle. The P/S axle is also an EMPI axle w/ over 40k miles on it (about 3 yrs old) and its not making any kind of noise.

I still have a warranty on it, so I'm prob. gonna take it back tomorrow and put a new one in.

Also, just to make sure. I need an CB7 axle for the D/S right? not a prelude one? I sorta notice a vibration on the highway now as well, but both boots are fine w/ no grease leaking anywhere. I'm not hella slammed either, just prob. like 2" or so. I did just put my ITRs on if that makes any difference? But I balanced the tires personally at discount tire, since I work there.

Have you checked it? sometimes dirt can get in even though the boot is secure, I've seen it before.

    life is good.

if warranty, use it, the last thing you want is axle grease all over the place

yeah mine only does it when I'm making hard rights lol. Do you think it's caused by abuse? or just a defective axle?

yeah, Especially over my White ITRs lol. That'll be a bitch to clean. They get brake dust over them and get dirty in 4 days and that annoying as hell.

yeah, I've never replaced the wheel bearings before on either side. I did repack them w/ Owequitit when I did my Acura Vigor Brake swap in front. But they're not exhibiting any kind of humming noises. Can they cause a vibration over time? I've got approx. 200k miles on my chassis. about 60k on the H22.

Oh and for the update, I did get that new axle in. I noticed my shifting is a lot smoother now, it feels like there's less slack in the drivetrain. Also when starting out, it doesn't shudder as much as it used to when taking off (manual w/ 8lb Fidanza flywheel).
