Park your car on a hill facing downwards and put the car in 1st gear.

    Turn the engine off

slowly let go off the gas.

If the car begins to slide or studder, its probable that your clutch is worn.

If the car holds, have a friend push from behind while your foot is over the brake.

If he can push the car, chances are your clutch is worn

There ya go. Shop manual page on clutch inspection. It gives you thickness guidelines and all that. Hope it helps!

no prob bro! Glad to know you're sittin pretty. I've heard from a couple of people that the clutch can look used just simply because it's been used alot...but it hasn't necessisarily been worn to the bone.

i took my stock clutch to school yesterday for my instructor to look at.
the clutch plat looked fine (like a 13-14 yeard old plate would look) with hot spots of course, but my disc and flywheel where terrible.
the coil springs on the disc were chipped in areas, the disc was worn to the born, and hte flywheel, had hot/blue spots, showing where the disc was slipping bad.
