My 91 ex has been down for a second like almost a year what precautions should i take when staring it for the first time. Since a weirdo decided it to jam my ignition i have ran into a problem hard to turn from off position with no battery connected should i connect the battery...and try again...or what i have a aftermarket (NAPA) ignition cylinder, wiring harness, and oem tumbler.. will post pics if needed...

Oo I my car was sitting for 2 yrs without being turned on after an accident all I did was checked if it had oil and started it up and didn't even gimme a problem to start it started as if it was daily driven. -
yea i was thinkin it would these cars sound like toys when they start up i love it should i just buy a whole ignition and battle with the steering wheel bolt and do it right...CB7 NeonComment

my ignition was jammed after someone stole my car however i was able to set it back to the off position since it was locked in the "I" position and the thief could use a screwdriver to start it.Comment

Just as a precaution its always a good idea to remove the spark plug leads and crank the car until the oil light goes out to ensure there is oil in the head/camshaft.
Then reconnect the leads and start it up.
Get a new ignition, or get it repaired.
