    Well, i finally cracked it~

.. That is, my ebay downpipe! Haha
I still stand by it for it's quality, but i gave it hell.. And it went to shit

Replacing the downpipe for the stock one today, no real loss.. The header is fine.
I've got an F22A9 by the way, so the stock 4-2-1 header/downpipe are fully interchangeable with the ebay varietys

Woo! Guess i can service it at the same time

    Could've seen that one coming

And yet, it doesn't matter if you spend $300 on one, or $80. They all break under high heat conditions and impact. I've snapped hardware and then had to tap it out, and broken two midpipes so far. Damn new england

    life is good.

Haven't broken one yet, or leak. Course I have a DC sports header that I bought and restored for the price of an eBay unit, but shit I have never broken a downpipe by impact. Just dont halfass stuff, I do it right the first time so I dont have to do it again because I am fucking lazy.

                  VICTORY!

Turns out upon closer inspection, i just torched the gasket between the header and downpipe flanges..
                  Downpipe n header are A-OK
Haha! EBAY lives on, so proud right now

Then again, that gasket was ebay.. ><

Yea its more than likely that those surfaces are uneven and need to be milled flat. You will end up with more downtime and by the time its all said and done, you could have another brand name header. I finally got fed up with my ebay header leaking between 4 and 2 that I just decided to get a Ractive header. Its been a year and no leaks yet! My ebay header blew the gaskets as soon as you got down the road a spell. Before you waste your money on actually finding that gasket, you might want to try and invest in a better one. I have dont tried every thing in the book and cant seem to get those headers to not leak.

I made my own metal gasket for my ebay header in between the 4 and 2 two days after I got my header (put header on before I went and enrolled at rolla and it was blown after I got home, 400 mile round trip) my metal one I made lasted 2 years and finally just broke. so I made another and it should last me as long (same metal),lol.
