I have a 91 with a jdm h22a it has always had problems smelling like fuel and less than par gas milage. I bought the car the condition it is in. I have a separate accord as a parts car completely stock and i wanted to install the charcoal canister and egr system onto the h22a cuz the egr on it for one is bad and throwing a code, and im sure the diminished gas milage and smell is from no charcoal canister i failed emissions only because of 252ppm of HC out of a limit of 220ppm. What i am eventually getting to is that does someone have or can take a pic of the emissions equipment hooked up (egr, air distribution box/ charcoal canister)? my h22a has every line disconnected and plugged parts removed. and my parts car had its intake removed so i cant go off of either example.

my other readings all passed: carbon monoxide was 0.74 with a limit of 1.20 and co2 was 10.23 but we dont have a limit on that. i looked at the hood diagram and hooked it up as shown and the car when running acted like it was dying and idle jumping everywhere had no power etc. so i hooked everything back up like it was and properly sealed all vacuum ports that are not in use weird thing is tho is that car runs perfect again but now idles at 700 rpms as opposed to what it idled at before which was 900-1000rpms is 700 normal? it doesnt sputter but the whole car slightly shakes but one of the engine mounts is solid (previous owners doing not me). so if it is idling lower now wouldnt that mean there was a vacuum leak which would have been cause for high hydrocarbons.

well thats good about the idling problem i thought i just got screwed further haha. im planning to get a full exhaust replacement (header/cat/exhaust) cuz the car's current one is completely screwed cuz of the guy before me lol so many random pipes and welds to count. would a new cat fix the c02 problem? if it has been running slightly rich couldnt it have damaged the cat? or what other factors could cause the decrease in o2
