Loose belt on the alternator or unplugged regulator would also turn on the battery light.

When your Battery Lights go On you cars Electrical is running on battery only that means the Alternator is not giving the battery and charge and giving some power to your cars Electrical System. You said your car is lowered? did you removed the splashed guard plastic thing under the car? if you did then you alternator is dead get a new one at pepboys or kregan they have life time warranty.

if your alternator is only a few months old tho then i would check your battery terminals and grounds. if your still riding on oem terminals invest in some tsunami terminals at autozone. they are 15$ each but i have them on all my cars and everyone's car who has had a problem in the past and no issues.

Look into the starter. I once had my battery light come on several months after replacing the alternator. I had the alt check and it tested fine, a couple of weeks later she didn't want to crank. After a couple of whacks to the starter she started. I replaced the starter and the battery light went away. Just food for thought.Last edited by 4U2H8ME; 01-21-2010, 05:37 PM.

A starter is also a possibility as well.
My vote is still with a faulty diode, or a voltage regulator on it's way out. It essentially converts varying voltage input, and sustains it then outputs and regulates steady voltage. If it's starting to fail, it would explain the battery dummy light.
Also, does your alternator make any noise? I don't mean in the belt, but more or less the brushes?
life is good.
