Check your ground wires. They may be loose. Have you had your alternator tested?

A quick way to check your alternator is to start your car, unhook the negative battery cable. Your car should continue to run. If it dies soon, your alternator may be bad

Only if its completely bad. Drive it over to advance and get them to check it.

Check the output of the alternator with a multimeter. With the engine idling, the voltage should be between 13.6 to 14.3 volts. If not the alternator may need replacing, but my voltage meter on my radar detector normally reads 13. I think it reads low, but if it's accurate, I haven't had a problem with the alternator yet.

                    life is good.

x2, the diodes are the first thing to go on those alternators, but do yourself a favor and dont but a duracrap alternator.

lifetime warranty, don listen to these foos. make your own decision. Duralast alternators are great, and it is fine on my ride

Samething happened to me on my way home from the AFM09 meet. I had my wife and sister in the car with me. I was literally only an hour away from home!!!!! I already drove 19+ hours from florida. I live in NY and my alternator took a dump on me in NJ. In the middle of the night. My battery light came on as soon as I got over the delaware bridge and every light dimmed. I knew it was my altenator. I called a cab and had my wife and sister catch a train. I didn't get home till a 16 hours later.

Sorry to thread jack. Just wanted to share my experience with the pesky but helpful battery light.

alternator. pull one from a CD accord and swap the pullies. i think there is a +10 amp rating. im not sure whats the best oem alt upgrade but i know the cd one fits

if your alternator is only a few months old tho then i would check your battery terminals and grounds. if your still riding on oem terminals invest in some tsunami terminals at autozone. they are 15$ each but i have them on all my cars and everyone's car who has had a problem in the past and no issues.
