Clutch engageing/disengaging

This only happens in 1st and reverse

sometimes it wont go into gear with clutch all the way in...

but once i release full pressure it slide in fine...

some things i was thinking is flushing the gear oil

next check under the dash to see if its anything else

then check the arm and see if any clips are missing

is this bad or anyone got any ideas?

It's perfectly normal. Sometimes the gears come to a stop in an unmatched position (i.e. tooth to tooth instead of tooth to recess) The owner's manual recommends that you try putting it in neutral, letting the clutch out and pushing it back in, then trying to put it into gear, or you can do as you have been and slip the clutch a tiny bit to nudge the gears together.

You can also just try to put it in any other gear. 1st is on the same shaft as 3rd and 5th, so if you try to put it in 3rd or 5th you will probably work the shaft around some so it will slide in easy. Reverse is a straight cut gear, so it can just be difficult.

tl;dr: Just try putting it in a different gear, it will work the shafts around.

and changing the gear oil every few years isnt a bad idea either

1st and reverse don't have syncros, so the gears don't always line up perfectly first time
