o2 sensor removal

    o2 sensor removal

    i want to paint my heat shield but i cant remove it because i dont know how to get the o2 sensor out.do i need a special tool kuz i couldnt get a wrench in the hole to get it.

    17in should doit, turn it counter clockwise and out she goes. But you don't need to remove the 02 sensor to remove the heat sheild.

      how do i take it of without taking the o2 sensor out?

        Like the guy above me said you don't have to remove the o2 sensor to take off your heat shield. I actually did this today. 12mm socket will take out the three bolts. Then follow the wiring on the o2 sensor and you will see a plug that you can unplug about 6 inches or so from the sensor. Unplug that, unscrew the bolts, and then remove the shield.
