    What is this part called?

It is leaking oil from this little part and I want to replace it or get a gasket for it but I have no idea what it's called.

It's on a F22B1 95 Accord EX but very similar to the 90-93 Accord engine.

    Any help is appreciated.

I think you are right. As soon as you posted your reply I googled it:

Looks like its on a civic though.

its an accord, you can see the egr valve there too. but to answer your question, that is the vtec solenoid.

Would this part be leaking because it has gone bad or is there a gasket that goes between the solenoid and the engine? Also, will I need to drain the oil before replacing? Also, do they commonly leak oil? The engine has 280,000 on it and I have replaced the valve cover gasket 10,000 miles ago. What brought this to my attention is because I smelled oil one day so I went to take a look.

there will be a small rubber gasket that you will replace. and it will leak a tiny bit of oil. but not much.

Do you know where I can purchase that gasket? I'm not throwing any codes so I will just replace the gasket.
