whineding nose coming from engine bay

just today ive been hearing a whineding nose it doesnt stop at all. i dont know what could it be my timing belt has been changed and balance shaft belt as well too

i have that same noise, someone told me that it is a vacuum leak somewhere.

tensior pully needs to b replaced, did you have a timin job done recently? belt could b to tight puttin a load on the pully.

im not that skilled to change my own belt and pully i want to get this done, i want my cb to b quiet

mines does it and im scared, sounds like a super charger.

Do you have a video of the sound? A "whining sound" doesn't really help diagnose the problem at all. Maybe you could look on youtube or something and find a similar noise/problem that someone else is having and that could narrow it down for you a lot more accurately than some random guesses made by people on this board who have heard a "whining sound" under their hood.

ya its more like a metallic constant noise when im driving and gets louder when i go faster

Hmm, does it kinda make a grinding sound? Or like a light metallic pinging?

Could be. BEST advice I have is to find a piece of tube or hose that's long enough to listen through to various places in your engine compartment. Stick that hose next to your ear (NOT in your ear. underhood stuff can be really loud and damage your hearing) and put the other end at various places. Process of elimination. Look at the various pulleys and the A/C pump and P/S pump and the side of the valve cover where the timing chain is going to be. Once you hear the whining sound through the hose, you'll be able to narrow it down very easily. Sure, it may look silly, but it's a great way to troubleshoot for noises that are hard to locate.

it could be so many things! could be a bad bearing somewhere too. water pump bearings are especially noisy when they go bad imo.

i did just that bro, and i even went to AAMCO and they checked the same way you said to. he said its def comin from timin belt area.

it could be the timing belt is on too tight... mine sounded like a supercharger.

also my balance shaft bearing went out...again sounded like a supercharger.
