Curb Weight for CB7

Does anyone know why the DX Coupe (2738 lbs.) is heavier than the DX Sedan (2733 lbs.)?

If this were the reason, one coupe assume the same for the DX but it is not so.

Remember the rear "hatch" area weighs a shit ton. This goes for cars like the FC RX-7, DA Integras idk anything with a lotta glass in back. Weighs a lot more than you'd think. Don't know how that'd all weigh more than 2 extra doors, but I've had this convo with a couple other CB guys who all agree there's not much difference between the two which is sad. So all of like 5 pounds? WEIRD...Guess I'll have to show that weight spec to my FC friend, he took his whole hatch out once just to have a bare-back RX-7. Was loud as hell, but looked kinda cool in a ghetto way

yeh but 4drs have 4 doors..and 4 big windows and 4 window motors which= more than coupe doors.

do sedan back seats fold down? cause i was thinking maybe its that huge padded back seat that folds down in coupes that weight more.

could all come down to the size of parts they used for each car

and abs can play a role in this also

They are relatively light cars. I would have thought that they weighed more.

To strengthen the longer coupe doors, the door framing must be beefier than the sedan door framing. Also, coupes are slightly lower and wider bodied. All that added up over the surface of a car could add up. Also, coupe tail lights are larger, and other random little things I don't care to think of. That could account for 5 lbs easily.

I thought they weighed like 3800 lbs or something like that...
