    I need help starting off

I am new to honda's so I could use all the help possible. I know there is a forum for engine swaps but I was wondering what each engine code meant(ie.. H22). I know some newer honda's have 6 cylinders and I was wondering how hard it is to gett one and swap it into my 91 accord. Also what kind of performance mods can i do to my accord with the regular engine. I'm not into look, I would rather have a fast car than a good looking one so i was looking for actual performance. Thanks for any help I can get.

anything is possible all you need is the money u can swap a c32 (NSX motor) in a accord if you had the rite amount of cash. most people drop the h22 in the accord because its is the best engine that fits with the least amout of modifications. As for modifications on the stock f22 do some research on this website there is information in almost every crack (excluding some topics) but it really does depend on the money you have to spend

      NSX motor

what kind of performance does the nsx motor have. In order to find one should i go through some junk yards or can you buy it like a crate engine? Also what kind of mods would need to be done to make it fit correctly. Thanks for the help.

          Yup!

The NSX engine is designed for the mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive NSX... It's powerful, but putting one in an Accord would be time consuming, expensive, and probably fairly unreliable.

The H22 will give you 200hp to start with (meaning you can add more with mods) and it will be MUCH cheaper and WAY more reliable. My car functions as well as it did with the old F22, only it's a heck of a lot faster!

As for your question regarding the meaning of the names, the letter is for the block series. MOST Honda cars use the same block series in a certain model... The Civic mainly uses the D series, while the Integra uses the B series. Of course, the CIvic SI and Del Sol use B series engines as well. The Accord uses F series engines (I forget what the V6 series is... J, I think) and the Prelude uses H (except for the Si, which has an F series). And now the K series engine is available in the SI and RSX... That's just some of em.
Confused yet? The letter really isn't important, as far as I know. It's just to differentiate the engines. Now the number is a bit more useful. My H22 and your F22 are both 2.2 liter engines. My girlfriend's 95 Civic LX has a D15 in it... and it's a 1.5 liter engine. See the pattern? The number basically shows you the size of the engine. The H23 is a 2.3 liter engine...

Also, don't even bother with the V6. It'll be a terrible fit, and it's not designed to be a performance engine. Plus, cranking 400hp out of a 4 cyl engine is pretty cool!

            Where should I look?

Thanks for the info. Where should I go to find an H22 engine for the cheapest price?
