proper way to remove line on auto tranny

I dont even know what it does or anything and honelty i dont care....its the only thing stopping me from buttoning up my swap...need to pull everything out and swap the new engine in. Its the linkage or cable on the botttom of the tranny that looks like it shoots out into the mid of the car. how do i properly remove that since i wanna re-use the tranny?
    Thanks
    John

unbolt the cover on the bottom of the trans, its got 3 10mm bolts holding it on. then you'll see another 10mm bolt being locked into place by a metal tab you gotta bend out of the way. That should release the cable from the trans side.

There's also a 10mm holding the inspection plate to it.
