    having severe bogging issue???

ok i have a h22a and yesterday i was driving thru town and the car was fine. then i stopped at a light and it acted like it was only running on 3 cylenders?? so i took off at the light and if sputter like crazy when i gave it 2 much gas it will bog if i give it 2 lil gas it will bog but at a quarter pedal it takes off normal???

took it home checked the plug wires ( just bought new plugs 3 weeks ago, fuel filter, changed oil, lucas oil and fuel treatments, pcv valve, and new o2 sensor) . took each plug wire off individually while the car was running they all had spark. checked dissy and everything was perfect. so then i checked my vacuum lines with the carb cleaner trick everything checked out. so then i took it 2 a friend who is ASE certified honda mechanic. and he seemed 2 think it jumped time??? anyone have any thoughts on what my problem could be?? thanks

    jumped time?
Either way my next guess would be your EGR, IACV, and then your IM where they might have Carbon build up. This is currently happening with my h22a and it DOES do this on a random time. May have to do some actual cleaning?

    p.s.
I'm probably missing something out too.

i know for a fact that its not the iacv delt with one b4 and it doesnt cause it 2 bog but around idle (its bogging in every gear not just idle). and i dont think it would act like it was misfiring over an egr. but i could be wrong. and the im is new???

does it rev past 3000ish rpm? If not it's hitting a "limp mode" fuel cut.
Regardless, any check engine lights? I would imagine it's throwing one.

no it either idles fine or extremely choppy occasionally dying after driving. and its throwing no CEL's??? i have the hondata s300 hooked up so i would know if it was throwing any lol. only one its throwing is vtec spool valve and vss (vehicle speed sensor). but it had been throwing those b4 this happened.

mine has been doing this as well but it only does this after i am driving for a little bit the it stats to bog and if i floor it it well stop and it wont do it again until i start the car and go for another drive. and my d4 light is blinking and i have a code for the vss as well. and my motor seems to have a kncok to it and when i listen it seems like it is coming from the IM. i would check the pcv and any lines coming off the IM.

Is your TPS working properly and/or set properly?

Also, consider the condition of your MAP sensor.

would the tps have anything to do with mine at all? when i put it on i didnt adjust it cause it seemed to be fine.

ok update i just checked the hondata no CEL's still. but while datalogging i changed the mode from the MAP sensor 2 run on the TPS as soon as i did it dies try 2 start it again nothin just turns but wont fire. so i change it back 2 MAP mode and starts right up (still running shitty). so is the TPS bad? and if it is i need a pic? or where is it located?

I'm having a problem similar to this mine seems to stall especially in 1st and 2nd. Doesnt't do it all the time only occasionally. I taking mine to a couple shops and no one can tell me anything. I was thinking maybe a burnt or bent valve.

If I remember correctly the tps sensor is located behind the trottle body right up against the frame of the car. Its held on by 2 star like screws. Hope this helps.

I thought the TPS screws were held on by rivit screws that you have to make a notch with a rotary tool and then turn with a flat head screw driver.

I'm wondering about the EGR as well. An old civic of mine used to this, and my CB has actually done it once that I can remember. But it bogged so bad that it just died (luckily no one was behind me, and I was turning a sharp corner on a backroad @ only like 20mph). It turned out to be bad vacuum on my EG sedan, it could also be bad vac leak or something related on our cars my vote's with either that, or EGR.

                              life is good.
