Transmission compatibility: H22 auto on a F23?

Okay, I'm REALLY tired of seeing this H22 Auto trans in my garage. But lately I've had 2 guys w/ 02 accords w/ the F23 engine ask if its compatible. So is it? I know that car is an OBD2 and this trans is OBD1. But will it work for the most part? or will they have to just get an F23 trans?

so in other words...will an MPOA Automatic fit on an F23 engine?

It will bolt up but it wont work. Their tranny computers are actually inside the ECU. I dont think connections will meet up either.

That is correct. I posted the H22a auto on craigslist that I had and it sold pretty quick. It has a little leak from the casing but the guy fixed that with some JB weld. And it barks 2nd (its hooked to an F22b1).


How much are you trying to sell it for?

like 450 w/ all the sensors, torque converter and the starter. No one's really been interested. Except this one guy that was gonna swap it in his sister's CD5 w/ an F20B, but then she decided to sell the car instead of swap

I sold my F auto trans for 3 bills and this one's in much better shape. Do you know how much it costs to rebuild an Auto? not cheap.

plus, if it is any honda transmission id buy, it would be a rebuilt unit.

yeah like 950 off that tiger japanese place. I'm selling it for 450 OBO. so whats your beef? i don't get why people freakin' argue on the internet, what the hell is gonna get accomplished.

Original question was answered already. I didn't ask how much I should sell it for. I asked whether or not it would fit an F23 engine.

I am not beefing with you, but I was lucky to sell my old H22a auto for 250. They are 250 on Hmotorsonline but if it has LSD then its well worth $450. I am just letting you know. Maybe some kid wanting a fast auto will pick it up hehe.

wasn't directing it to you man. you're in the clear haha. I just want it gone, but i'm not gonna give it away. Hopefully someone w/ a 90-97 accord will come claim it.

i dont know if this will help but i got the f23a1 vtec in my cb7 and the 96 prelude auto mp1a tranny works in my cb7 with the f23 just fine and it lined up and bolted in with just a little bit of muscle to angle it right and i just did it this pass weekend and ive been driving around with no problems
