usually a bad ICM or a bad ecu because the ecu tells when the ICM to release the spark is usually at fault.

Now you sure what you replaced were in good running order? because if the icm and ignition coil are good. the only thing i can think of is the ecu.

well i got a new dizzy so the icm should be in good working order .... so the only other thing is ecu

ok i think i figured my problem....i took the dizzy cap off and i saw that once i tried to turn the car over the rotor would not spin...so i took the top timing cover piece off and saw that the cam wasnt spinning so i have a broken timing belt

When a timing belt breaks......wouldn't that create a snapping sound?

This morning, while parallel parking, my car died. It cranks fine......but doesn't start. I cranked it a few more times but it didn't fire up. When I got out of the car, there was a fuel smell.

I'm going to remove the distributor cap and see if the rotor turns. I doubt its my timing belt. But this happened out of nowhere. Never had a check engine light issue. Gas is 1/2 full. I have brand new spark plug wires and my timing belt is only a year old.
