Hard to get auto out/in Park

I have an 91 auto LX that is hard to get into and out of park. The button goes in smoothly and other other gears shift into and out easy. Just hard to get into park. Anyone have any solutions?

    Thanks!

Does it change with the temperature outside?

Does it only do it when you first drive your car in the morning?

its a pretty simple job, just awkward to get to those screws holding it in place. Lets just put it this way, if you're chubby, you'll have issues haha.

You've got to get into the tunnel above where the exhaust goes and use an extension w/ a universal joint and 10mm to get the shift cable unbolted. Its about 50% interior and 50% under the car since you have to get the center console out and the bolts in there and under the car there's 3 bolts bolting it to the shifter and 1 bolting it to the transmission underneath.

Really not a hard job, just difficult to get to.

Thanks bro...I was thinking -what exactly is hanging it up? Could it be lubed to cure the problem? LIke soak it in a jug of lubricant overnight? Is this a common problem to CBs?
