    Honda Related-Transmission Issue.

What up Fourm!? I have an Accord CB7 also, but just recently picked up a 1994 Honda Civic Si with and automatic transmission...I know what most of you will say to my queastion out of humor, but what im looking to do it (flip) this car and make a profit..

Ok so On to the issue at hand, The transmission will not go in to any gear period other then park....It doesnt grind....make the RPMS jump or anything when im switching gears which to me might be a shift selnoid?

I know that the transmissions are sealed so its hard to tell if there is fluid in it..

Any suggestions out there? Im hoping that its something simple..the previous owner is an older lady from town here who bought it for her daughter to go to school...The said told problem I heard from the mother was " I was at a stop light and it just quit" Since then it has been parked...

    Car Info

1994 Honda Civic Si Auto 240,000Kms On original engine and tranny.

P.s Its not the shifter cable...lol..and it was winter time when it happend "apparently"

    Thanks

open the tranmission up and see if there is a screen in the tranny, because that screen might clogged and see if that fixes. if not then it sounds more or less a dead tranny but i could be wrong.

Transmissions on the Civic Si don't have a way to check the fluid level?

It could also be a torque converter. I had that problem with an older (non-honda) car. Would not engage any gear. Park is a physical lock pin mechanism, so it should always be able to engage...

Accords are for winners. And Grandmothers. But mostly winners.
