driver door doesnt lock when it open

hey guys whts up my driver door lock doesnt look when its open it only locks when the doo is closed could it be something jamed?

it's the accord way so you leave your keys inside by accident haha...
because i've always locked mine using my key from the outside
OR..

u can life the handle while u push down on the lock. idk if that's recomended but it's posible

all accords do this, Ive learned ot grab the handle with my middle finger and tag the lock with the index finger.
