    Tranny or Torque Converter problem?

    Hey Guys and Gals,
I have a problem With my Automatic tranny, torque converter, or even worse
my motor, But don't know which one it is.

As I was arriving home, It seemed like my tranny went out, and I was
stuck entering my Driveway. With my car being in gear(D4) I would press
the gas and it would only Rev. So I kept the gas pedal pressed and the car
slowly, real slow, moved to the end of my driveway.

After I parked it and turned it off, I tried to started again and it wouldn't crank.
All i would hear is the starter motor.

After I checked it out and had someone else try to start the car, I saw,
through the little window on top of the Engine code, that the starter would spin the torque converter but the motor wont crank. I took A video so you can see/hear.

check to see if your torque converter is still bolted up? That almost sounds like a car with a broken timing belt.

I checked to see if the torque converter was still bolted on before i made
the video, but yea i also thought that it may had been the timing belt but the
      belt is fine.
so torque converter is still bolted on,
and the timing belt is fine.

      Thank you for your help

I heard a squeak so something is broken. Thats wierd because I have never heard or seen of that. I would say broken timing belt but you said it was running when you cut it off. So either 3 things are wrong: The crank or the fly wheel is ither broke or the bolts somehow fell out of the flywheel. Either way either one is going to have to come out. A crank usually only breaks somewhere in the center not at the fw though. Probably would make a hell of a lot more racket. Your best bet is dropping that tranny. It isnt hard to do. Maybe switch to a manual while your at it or put in an H22a auto tranny.

Yes that squeaking is from the torque converter as its spinning. I was thinking about the crank and converting to manual too.

we'll see when i drop the tranny.
