was it the tranny or axle?

wll today heading to work, i heard my axle make that noise it makes when its f.ckd up the click click clik noise, and wen i made a turn i try to take off kind of fast and i just heard somthing pop like if somthing broke, so i park the car and check for oil or somthing but nothing was there, (plus i couldnt see much cuz the car is too low.lol) but anyways so i got on the car and put it on first and accelerated but it wouldnt move neither reverse, but the rpm and the speed thing would go up like if i was actually moving, what do you guys think this problem could be? thanks in advance.

Sounds like it could be the axle. Only one way to really find out though.

yeah sounds like an axle to me. Does the car kinda try to lunge forward when you hit the gas but doesn't move? I snapped a D/S axle on my auto when I tried to drag race...boy was that embarassing...breaking on the line lol But its a good thing I had an LSD so I made it all the way to a Checker Auto parts and got another havn't raced my auto since...thats what a manual's for.

My axle sheared the cv joint in half and I could hear a click click noise, the part that was in the trans was moving but the rest of the axle wasn't.

Replace the axle first, it sounds like thats what it is, plus its alot cheaper/easier than replacing the trans.

Axle broke. Time to get a new one.

For some reason on Accords the axles will click for like a day then explode.

What do you expect its a honda for 1. And when you put performance parts and start making power with with parts on a dated car thats been worn expect it to happen.
