stumbels around 4krpm 2nd gear ?

hi there first of all i just bought a 93 ex-r 5spd with 200400 km on it it runs great the ting is when i shift to 2nd and rev it up from 3700 rpm to around 4500 rmp its stumbles aroun 4000 and then the engine light come on if i do it again while the light is on it dosent do it but i switch it off and turn it back on it will do the same aroun 4000 rpm i might not be clear on my description im such a newbie my bad so anyways if any of yall understand this can you please help me out

P.S i think it might be misfiering ?

If I were you I would check out and run a self diagnostics by jumpin the the self-service plug located on the rightside of the passenger side door just a little bit above the kick panel. Its a blue connector nothing should be plugged in it it should be dangling or whatever it looks like something plugs in there.

Just use a paperclip and plug it in to the two service ports on that connect with the car in the on position the position before you start it but do not (I REPEAT DO NOT START THE CAR). Then let the car sit there and look at the check engine light closely it should tell you by the check engine light it will blink a number of times in sequence do you know how to read the codes? keep us posted if you do or dont to let us know how shit went peace.

i wish i could but i cant read the codes i just got my car thursday (my first car)
so idont know much but i know wich plug you are talking a bout can ou please give me an how to on this one thanks

Okay towards the front where the right next to the drivers side Near under the dashboard under the carpeting theres your ecu Now you may have to take the lining from over the carpet you remove on the right ,right next to the passenger side door there should be a connector dangling there with nothing connected to it just use a paperclip connect it so that it connects to each other and turn the car in the on position but dont start the car then look at the check engine light and read how many times does it blink or stay lit then blink.


a second time it counts as two. say for example It stays lit for 3 seconds and then flashes 3 times it would equal to code 13. If it satys lit 2-3 seconds twice in a row then flashes 3 time it would represent code 23

so this morning i didi the self diagnostic chek this is how it goes
engine light flashes 9 times wait 2 sec flash 9 times does this mean 29 ? the abs light flashes 3 waits 1 sec falsh 4 time where can i fin out what these codes mean thanks

it dosent stay on lit just blinks so does the abs one flashes 9 times stay off 2 sec flashes 9 time again all the time same principal for the abs thanks
