    Spark plug wire seating problem

Ok, my spark plug wire for cylinder 3 is not seating to the spark plug correctly/completely. I think this causing some intermediate misfire which is affecting my cars performance and fuel economy.

I tried using another cylinder #3 wire from anoth set of wire I got laying around and its the same the thing. What could be causing this? I dont wanna go shell the cash out on another set of wires to have the same issue. Could it be something wrong with the spark plug connector top that could be causing the wire not to seat properly?

Couldn't hurt to pull it and make sure it hasn't smoothed out letting the end of the wire pop off, I've seen a few that lost the groove the wire snaps onto.

sometimes when they get pulled off the metal piece inside slides into the tube a bit. all you should have to do is push the wire into the boot just a little. if that doesn't work then the end of the wire itself may have opened and won't click onto the plug
